This initiative is dedicated to sharing the rich diversity of brewing traditions worldwide and fostering connections through the craft of beer.
Brews Beyond Borders was born out of a deep belief that beer is more than just a beverage—it’s a bridge between cultures, a catalyst for community, and a way to preserve and share ancient traditions in a modern world. By supporting this nonprofit, you are helping to empower local communities, preserve cultural heritage, and promote sustainable brewing practices across the globe. Your donation will enable us to expand our reach, offer more educational workshops, and create sustainable brewing initiatives that respect and celebrate the cultures they originate from. Join us in raising a glass to a more connected, compassionate world.
Evan Barbarick is an environmental specialist passionate about sustainability, travel, and good beer. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from California Polytechnical University Humboldt, and it was during this time that he acquired a taste for delicious and well-brewed sustainable beer while touring breweries along California's North Coast. Shortly after graduation, he moved to Senegal, West Africa, where he had the privilege of developing the essential knowledge around sustainable agriculture to the Brewers without Borders Mission. Evan has since received a master's degree in Forest Science from Italy, where he has tasted the various brewing styles across Europe. He is pursuing his PhD in Forest Ecology and tasting a new beer in a new country every chance he gets.
